Steatite can be discovered across the globe, nestled within small deposits varying from petite rocks to expansive boulders. Predominantly, significant quantities of Steatite originate from regions such as India, China, and Brazil. Additionally, noteworthy deposits are scattered throughout Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy, England, and the United States.

In India, the northern states of Rajasthan and Uttarakhand boast approximately 80% of the nation's Steatite resources. Notably, the Bageshwar district in Uttarakhand stands out as one of the most abundant hubs of Steatite in the country.

In recent years, Steatite has surged in popularity as a versatile material suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. Its exceptional nonporous non absorbent and heat-resistant properties render it indispensable for a wide array of large-scale industrial processes.
